Key Responsibilities
  • Set tables and maintain work stations in a clean and organized manner.
  • Take orders, provide service, and deliver requested items with a high level of courtesy and professionalism.
  • Clear dishes from tables during and after meal service, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
  • Answer questions about menu items and provide recommendations to residents and guests.
  • Prepare therapeutic desserts and salads as required, adhering to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Transport hot and cold foods to and from the Village Care Center, as needed, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Transport non-food items to and from the Village Care Center, main dining rooms, and other areas as required, ensuring timely delivery and minimal disruption.
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation, hygiene, and safety, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining a high level of customer service for residents and their guests, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist with dishwashing and distribution of clean dishes as needed, ensuring a clean and efficient workflow.
  • Maintain acceptable standards of personal hygiene and comply with departmental dress code, presenting a professional image at all times.
  • Complete all assigned cleaning tasks, ensuring a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
  • Maintain station equipment and work area in safe and sanitary conditions, adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned, staying up-to-date on industry best practices and company policies.
  • Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, adapting to changing needs and priorities as required.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English, perform simple arithmetic, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
  • Experience waiting tables in a hotel, restaurant, or club with fine dining preferred, but not required. Will train on-the-job.
  • Ability to interpret and explain the menu, refer or answer questions, coordinate the meal service process, and respond to requests.
  • Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor, and peers, requiring courtesy, tact, and graciousness.
  • Fundamental understanding of hospitality, customer service, table service techniques, personal hygiene, and appearance.
Work Schedule

Weekends and holidays are mandatory. Hours may vary, requiring flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the facility and its residents.
