Key Responsibilities

The individual will serve as the primary point of contact for on-site technical system support, addressing hardware, software, applications, and networking needs for clients and field staff. The position demands a commitment to achieving high customer satisfaction through the proficient execution of technical support and service initiatives. Duties may involve:

  • Overseeing product performance and maintenance
  • Coordinating installations and project management
  • Engaging in site planning and delivering professional services
  • Proactively managing resources and resolving issues
  • Utilizing system diagnostics to troubleshoot problems

Work will primarily occur at client locations, and the role includes an on-call rotation with variable shifts based on operational demands. The responsibilities are diverse and complex, requiring independent judgment and may involve leading projects.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in IT infrastructure support and server management within a mid-sized environment
  • Familiarity with data center mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on resolving customer issues
  • Experience in a mission-critical operations setting
  • Ability to respond promptly to on-call situations, with a valid driver's license for travel to data center sites
  • Physical capability to lift up to 25 kg and work in confined or elevated spaces
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively in virtual settings
  • Commitment to process adherence and excellence
  • Experience in direct customer support and service delivery

Data Center Expertise

  • Basic understanding of data center design, including electrical and cooling systems
  • Knowledge of airflow management strategies
  • Experience with equipment installation and commissioning
  • Proficient in structured cabling for fiber and copper

Technical Skills

  • Systems administration for Linux and/or Windows servers
  • Hardware troubleshooting and repair
  • Fundamentals of networking, including DNS and TCP/IP
  • Understanding of IT hardware concepts such as RAID and SAN
  • Experience with operating system installations and configurations
  • Familiarity with core OS services including SSH, Telnet, and FTP
