Pediatric Newborn Hospitalist Physician

**Job Title:** Pediatric Hospitalist
**Job Summary:** University Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team in Geauga, OH. As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to newborns and their families.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Attend high-risk labor and delivery calls, including deliveries in any part of the hospital
- Complete nursery rounds by 11am, absent emergent/urgent conditions or high census
- Consult and manage sick newborns admitted under private pediatricians
- Prenatal consultations in collaboration with the Neonatologist
- Coordinate transfer to higher level of care for sick newborns
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives for maternal and infant care
- Resident education in the care of newborns and delivery room roles
Requirements:
- Board certification/eligibility in general pediatrics is required
- Experience and competency in caring for sick newborns is required
- National Resuscitation Program certification is required
- Quality improvement experience preferred
