**Job Title:** Pediatric Hospitalist

**Job Summary:** University Hospitals is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Hospitalist to join our team in Geauga, OH. As a Pediatric Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to newborns and their families.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend high-risk labor and delivery calls, including deliveries in any part of the hospital
  • Complete nursery rounds by 11am, absent emergent/urgent conditions or high census
  • Consult and manage sick newborns admitted under private pediatricians
  • Prenatal consultations in collaboration with the Neonatologist
  • Coordinate transfer to higher level of care for sick newborns
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives for maternal and infant care
  • Resident education in the care of newborns and delivery room roles

Requirements:

  • Board certification/eligibility in general pediatrics is required
  • Experience and competency in caring for sick newborns is required
  • National Resuscitation Program certification is required
  • Quality improvement experience preferred
