The Specialized Skills Instructor position at Gro HR Consulting is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our Day Services Program aims to empower individuals to reach their full potential by providing personalized support, teaching, and guidance.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with a group of young people with autism without a developmental disability, assessing their training needs, developing tailored teaching programs, and monitoring progress. You will also have the opportunity to develop and implement community-based activities that promote socialization and skill-building.

Our ideal candidate is a motivated professional with a high school diploma (a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field is preferred) and at least one year of experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities. A passion for empowering individuals and a commitment to our mission are essential qualities for success in this role.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Providing personalized support and teaching to individuals with autism
  • Assessing and meeting individual training needs
  • Developing and implementing teaching programs
  • Monitoring progress through data collection
  • Adapting interests to teach others new skills
  • Developing and implementing community-based activities
