About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate National Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse to join our team at CHI Health Midlands. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cardiologists, EKG technicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing cardiopulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Supervise and lead inpatient and outpatient cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation exercise training and educational sessions, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' cardiac rhythms, oxygen saturation, and exercise tolerance, identifying potential issues and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Triaging patients for emergent or non-emergent care, working closely with staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery and prevention of recurrent issues.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program or university.
  • Active Registered Nurse license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing in the state where you reside.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
  • Experience in cardiac nursing, with a strong understanding of cardiopulmonary rehabilitation principles and practices.
