We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Project Coordinator to support the implementation and daily operations of the EmpowerEd Conecuh AmeriCorps Academic Mentoring Project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Project Director in planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for the AmeriCorps Academic Mentoring Project.
  • Coordinate the recruitment, selection, and placement of AmeriCorps members in mentoring roles.
  • Support the development and dissemination of training materials for mentors.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for AmeriCorps members, providing guidance and support.
  • Monitor mentor-mentee relationships, ensuring they are productive and meeting program goals.
  • Assist in resolving any issues or conflicts that arise within the mentor-mentee relationships.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain accurate records of mentee progress and program activities.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations for the Project Director and other stakeholders.
  • Manage data entry and ensure the accuracy of information in the program's database.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects of the program, including meetings, training sessions, and events.
  • Manage communication with mentors, mentees, schools, and community partners.
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of program materials, such as handbooks, guides, and marketing materials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, social sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in program coordination or administration, preferably in education or nonprofit settings.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with data management systems.
