Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Achievement Centers for Children. As a school-based OT, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate children across different grade levels to gather information for goal setting, intervention planning, and consultation.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans that address the functional and educational needs of each child.
  • Provide dynamic interventions to help children build essential life skills, excel in education, and enhance their abilities for success.
  • Collaborate with the educational team and families to embed skill-building activities into daily routines both in the classroom and at home.
  • Document and data collect ongoing therapy sessions.
  • Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures.

Requirements

  • Current licensure to practice Occupational Therapy within the state of Ohio.
  • Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire).
  • Experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong assessment and intervention planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Passion for working with children and helping them overcome developmental, educational, and motor challenges.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated on the latest research and techniques in occupational therapy.
