About the Role

We're seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our PACU team at Mercy. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and respond to changes in their condition.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Document patient information and progress in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Current RN licensure in the state of hire and/or compact licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • One or more of the following certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to: ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, BLS, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM.
  • Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
