About the Role:

This Recovery Coach position is a key team member for Moms Do Care EMPOWER, a program providing wrap-around support during pregnancy and up to 3 years postpartum for individuals with substance use disorder.

As a Recovery Coach, you will work closely with a team of professionals to provide trauma-informed, person-centered support within a peer support framework.

Moms Do Care EMPOWER at Baystate Franklin is one of 7 programs for pregnant and postpartum people with SUD across the state of MA.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in providing Recovery Coach support within a multidisciplinary team with strong community collaboration.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have lived experience and knowledge of the needs, concerns, and goals of individuals who struggle with addiction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, empathy for others, and demonstrated commitment to supporting those with significant needs.
  • Flexibility, a sense of humor, and ability to work well within a team model and independently.
  • Reliability and ability to learn about and observe rules of confidentiality and boundaries.
  • Completion of the Recovery Coach Academy and computer skills preferred but not mandatory.
