Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our team at Providence Newberg Medical Center. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in critical care
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure informed decision-making and optimal care
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
- Participate in on-call rotations and provide coverage as needed
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment that fosters teamwork and collaboration
- Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge
- Meet the qualifications and standards set by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN) and the American Nurses Association (ANA)
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current RN licensure in the state of Oregon
- At least 1 year of experience in critical care nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Ability to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
