Radiologic Technologist and Medical Support Specialist Job Description

Concentra is seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist and Medical Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our patient care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine x-ray examinations in accordance with Concentra policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Support medical staff in various areas of the facility.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, escort them to dressing and x-ray rooms, and provide verbal and written instructions.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and team member safety.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and applicable certification by the state in which employed.
  • Registered with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and has active and valid certification.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Customarily has at least six months or more of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific) is preferred with prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience.
