Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Technologist to join our team at Albany Medical Center. As a key member of our Adult Cardiac Cath Lab, you will be responsible for performing technical procedures and assisting in the clinical evaluation and care of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in all phases of the peri-procedural process, ensuring seamless execution and patient safety.
  • Manipulate procedural instrumentation under the direct supervision of the Interventional Cardiologist, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Manage supplies and equipment necessary during invasive cardiology procedures, maintaining a sterile environment at all times.
  • Anticipate the needs of the Interventional Cardiologist, providing timely support and assistance.
  • Ensure the maintenance of a sterile field, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Function independently for basic procedures and with minimal supervision of a senior technologist in the scrub role during advanced and highly complex procedures, and function as a circulator under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
  • Participate in emergency on-call duties, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Medical Imaging from an accredited institution.
  • Certified via successful passing result on ARRT registry exam.
