Job Summary

Fresenius Medical Care North America is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Care Technician to join our team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing dialysis treatment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with dialysis treatment, including setting up and operating hemodialysis machines
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the registered nurse or supervisor
  • Perform vascular access cannulation and administer heparin as delegated or as allowed by state law
  • Initiate dialysis treatment according to prescribed orders and evaluate intradialytic problems
  • Document patient information and treatment data in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and support
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must meet Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS)-approved state and/or national certification requirements within the required state or CMS timeline
  • Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting or related facility preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
