Job Title: School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team at Soliant. As a School-Based SLP, you will work with students in an elementary school setting, providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with communication needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students both one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate speech and language goals into classroom activities.
  • Educate and support parents and guardians on strategies to support their child's communication development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of educational plans.
  • Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology and special education.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Illinois licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Previous experience working in a school setting or with children is highly desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.
