Job Description

AbbVie is seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our Patient Access team. As a key member of our Immunology Franchise, you will be responsible for ensuring that our co-pay assistance programs are fully supported by our call center, internal hub, and field teams.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in call center operations, patient access, and co-pay assistance programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to improve patient access and affordability. This includes forecasting patient volume, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing external vendor relationships to ensure SLAs are met and programs meet regulatory requirements
  • Forecasting patient volume and associated phone calls with patients and payers
  • Ensuring vendor staffing plans meet patient needs while being cost-efficient
  • Developing and implementing strategies to improve call center quality and patient experience
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure coordination and consistency
  • Developing and managing budgets and financial reports

Requirements include:

  • 8+ years of experience in call center operations or patient access
  • Experience with co-pay assistance programs and specialty pharmacy
  • Strong analytical and project management skills
  • Ability to think strategically and lead cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
