Tenet-Alabama is in search of a dedicated Medical Lab Scientist to join our team.
Role Responsibilities:
The Medical Lab Scientist will be responsible for:
- Processing and analyzing various laboratory specimens.
- Reviewing and reporting laboratory results accurately.
- Performing operational tasks, maintenance, and advanced troubleshooting of laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Serving as a resource for other laboratory staff.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Required: A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or graduation from an accredited medical technology program, or equivalent military training as defined by regulatory standards.
Experience:
- Required: No prior experience necessary.
- Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of experience as a medical laboratory technologist or clinical laboratory scientist in an acute care setting.
Certification:
- Required: Must be registered or registry-eligible with an approved certifying agency (e.g., ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS) within the first year of employment.
Licensure:
Must possess any required state licensure.
