We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Clinical Decision Unit team at Union Hospital, a part of Christiana Care Health System. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse in this position will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, using the nursing process and aligning with accepted standards of progressive care nursing and the policies and procedures of Union Hospital. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Responsibilities:- Provide safe, effective nursing care to patients using the nursing process and aligning with accepted standards of progressive care nursing and the policies and procedures of Union Hospital.
- Administer, monitor, and document medications and treatments within the scope of practice.
- Monitor and report expected and adverse reactions to treatments, procedures, and medications.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and doctors to provide individualized care.
- Coordinate and provide a safe and secure unit for patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Maryland RN license or license from a compact state.
- American Heart Association BLS required.
- American Heart Association ACLS required within 1 year of start date.
- NIH Stroke certification required within 90 days of start date.
