Job Title: Speech Pathologist

At Aberdeen School District, we are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will provide individualized speech and language therapy for students with disabilities, working closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, diagnose, and teach students with communicative disorders, including articulation, language, fluency, voice, and hearing impairments.
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills and provide coordination for home intervention services and consultative intervention for students and parents/guardians.
  • Provide effective oral and written communication skills, managing varied caseloads within an itinerate position to provide consultative and direct services to students with disabilities.
  • Adapt and modify curricula and instruction as required by individual students' education plans.
  • Participate in preparing each student's Individual Education Plan (IEP) and attend faculty meetings, in-service, and professional development.
  • Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policy.
  • Participate in ongoing staff development and interact effectively with colleagues and administrators for the implementation of inclusive services for identified students as appropriate.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art assistive technology related to communication.
Qualifications:
  • Endorsement 215 and/or 216.
  • Such other qualifications as may be set by the Special Education Director or Superintendent.
  • Clinician requires a Master's degree.
