Conducting AML alert and case evaluations to mitigate risks related to financial misconduct and suspicious activities
Implementing consistent and thoroughly documented analyses aligned with industry benchmarks to ensure effective Transaction Monitoring efforts
Executing timely and detailed examinations of potential Anti-Money Laundering activities and/or suspicious financial transactions across various jurisdictions and countries
Evaluating customer profiles and client information to determine if activities align with standard purchasing/payment behaviors, including adherence to Acceptable Use Policies and Know Your Customer initiatives
Recording findings in a narrative format within both manual and automated case management systems, and providing updates to Project Managers and Team Leads as necessary
Performing Quality Control assessments on finalized cases

5 days in-office presence required
~ Familiarity with US reporting obligations concerning suspicious activity reports and cash transaction activities
~ Capability to identify and address potential financial crime indicators, including money laundering, terrorism financing, and fraud as evident in transactional data
~ Minimum of 1 year of Quality Control/Quality Assurance experience supporting Transaction Monitoring System alerts and/or financial regulatory compliance
~ Proficient in using Excel for reporting purposes

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
~ Experience with AML risks linked to cryptocurrencies
~ Specific knowledge of cryptocurrency products as a user and/or experience in the digital currency sector
~ Comprehensive understanding of Transaction Monitoring, KYC, Screening, Fraud Operations, jurisdiction-specific SAR filing, and narrative documentation based on both documentary and non-documentary verification, in accordance with relevant policies, business nature, source of wealth/funds, and customer screening against sanctions, PEP, and adverse media watchlists
~ Ability to conduct thorough investigations utilizing vendors and open-source resources to resolve compliance alerts and independently research, analyze, and propose solutions to address open items and discrepancies
~ Experience in processing financial crime risk management typologies related to brokerage and virtual currency exchanges
~ Familiarity with various risk case management systems
~ Capacity to thrive in both team-oriented and independent work environments
