Position Overview

The Security Training Specialist plays a vital role in enhancing the safety and security culture within Gila River Gaming Enterprises Inc. This position is responsible for the development and delivery of comprehensive training programs focused on Security, Risk Mitigation, and Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service experiences to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Research and develop innovative training materials and methodologies to ensure effective Security and Safety training across the organization.
  • Audit and maintain training records for all departments to guarantee consistent delivery of training programs.
  • Identify the need for specialized training based on incident analysis in collaboration with the risk and safety teams.
  • Manage the Field Training Program for new Security Officers, ensuring adherence to departmental standards and effective training practices.
  • Engage in special projects and additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Role:

This role does not include direct supervisory responsibilities but plays an influential part in guiding the performance of employees across the enterprise.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in team training, curriculum development, or related fields, particularly in Security, Safety, or Risk Management.
  • Proficient understanding of training principles and adult learning practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and complex situations effectively.
  • Valid AZ driver's license with a clean driving record for the past five years.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug/alcohol test and background check is mandatory.
  • Ability to work in environments where smoking is permitted.
  • Exemplary guest service skills and strong communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Capacity to build and maintain effective working relationships with guests and team members.
  • Must acquire in-depth knowledge of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, relevant regulations, and technical rules within one year of employment.

All new hires must successfully complete a pre-employment alcohol/drug test and a background check to ensure eligibility for employment.
