At Prudent Technologies & Consulting, we are seeking a highly skilled AppDynamics Consultant to join our team. As an AppDynamics Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing AppDynamics for our clients, ensuring smooth application performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage AppDynamics application monitoring solutions across various environments, including cloud, on-premise, and hybrid.
  • Perform hands-on setup, configuration, and optimization of AppDynamics for different application components, including servers, databases, networks, and end-user experiences.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate AppDynamics with CI/CD pipelines for real-time performance monitoring.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks and provide actionable insights to resolve issues through dashboards, alerts, and customized reports.
  • Implement best practices for monitoring applications, managing alerts, and developing alerting thresholds to minimize false positives.
  • Conduct application performance assessments, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing resource usage.
  • Train clients and internal teams on AppDynamics functionalities and best practices for monitoring and troubleshooting.
  • Assist in capacity planning, ensuring systems are right-sized based on performance and load requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support for existing AppDynamics implementations, ensuring continuous service improvement.
  • Document all monitoring configurations, workflows, and solutions implemented within client environments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with AppDynamics in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong understanding of application architecture, including microservices, databases, and cloud technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or shell scripting) for monitoring integration and custom configurations.
  • Experience with other monitoring and performance tools is a plus (e.g., Dynatrace, New Relic, Prometheus).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and tools like Jenkins, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • AppDynamics certification (ACAD) is highly desirable.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring, synthetic transaction monitoring, and end-user experience monitoring.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and experience working in IT operations.
