Position Overview:
As a Security Officer within the YMCA of South Florida, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of students and staff in an educational setting. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the security operations during program hours, facilitating student transitions, and coordinating safe dismissals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular patrols of school premises to maintain a secure environment.
  • Respond to various incidents, including disturbances and minor investigations, ensuring a swift resolution.
  • Prepare necessary documentation and reports related to security incidents.
  • Enforce traffic and parking regulations on school grounds.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and educational staff to uphold safety protocols.
  • Implement visitor control measures and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Report any theft or vandalism incidents promptly to the appropriate authorities.
  • Adhere to mandatory reporting requirements regarding child welfare.

Qualifications:

Certifications:
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Completion of SBBC security training or ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
