Job Summary

The Resident Care Associate plays a vital role in providing exceptional care and services to our residents and their families in our assisted living and Memory care neighborhoods.

This role involves providing hands-on care, physical and emotional support as outlined in each resident's Personalized Service Plan (PSP), while maintaining a safe and comfortable home-like environment.

The Resident Care Associate is responsible for demonstrating all elements of wellness, adhering to federal, state, and local standards and regulations, and Phoenix policies to promote the highest degree of quality care and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the development and updating of Personalized Service Plans, and attend service plan review meetings with families as requested.
  • Ensure the hydration schedule for residents is maintained during the shift.
  • Complete resident meal attendance sheets and provide room service or account for residents who have not dined in the dining room.
  • Know and comply with all resident rights.
  • Initiate, assign, and assist with activities as appropriate.
  • Check assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, and any continence issues, and take action as needed.
  • Use proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
  • Check assigned resident rooms daily for general cleanliness and neatness, and take action as needed.
  • Assist with conducting laundry and common area checks, and take action as needed.
  • Complete all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for assigned residents according to their Personalized Service Plan.
  • Respond promptly to security system and resident call bells, and take action as needed.
Requirements
  • High school education preferred and may be required by the state.
  • Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age to perform the personal care aspects of the RCA position.
  • Knowledge and experience in Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing preferred.
  • Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours, available to our customers at peak service delivery days and times.
