Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Tractor Trailer Driver to join our team at Goodwill Industries of Central Texas. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor trailer truck to and from pickup and delivery points.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a tractor trailer truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Properly load, secure, and protect store deliveries and donation pickups, raw materials, and manufactured goods.
  • Accurately complete required paperwork, including manifest, vehicle inspection report, driver logs, donation count sheets, and truck seals.
  • Report incidents and accidents to supervisor and perform operator-level maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Ensure the safety of truck and equipment at dock, including chocking of tires.
  • Present a professional image to customers, stores, and the general public.
  • Attend all scheduled meetings and provide excellent customer service.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality requirements.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must have a valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License and Medical Card.
  • Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation Physical.
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Must be able to communicate in English effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to stand, bend, and twist for eight hours.
