Jockey Driver

Perdue Farms is a leading provider of premium proteins, and we're seeking a skilled Jockey Driver to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a jockey truck to transfer trailers to and from the processing area.
- Ensure trailers are processed in the order designated by management.
- Update the Yard Management System (YMS) and follow company policy.
- Keep the yard organized and in order.
- Perform pre-op inspections of vehicles and post-op cleaning on a daily basis.
- Communicate with the gate, dock office, and management.
- High school diploma or equivalent (not required but beneficial).
- Minimum 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer within the past 3 years.
- Reading and writing skills required.
- Must obtain a jockey license through company training.
Works outdoors year-round in seasonal temperatures with noise exposure of 96.2 db; light intensity of less than 5' candles.
May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity.
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db.
May be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facilities.
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
Occasional exposure to carbon dioxide vapors 10ppm and chlorine less than 20 ppm.
Able to stand for several hours.
Work may include lifting (35 to 65 lbs) to heights from 5" to 84", reaching, bending, pushing boxes on conveyor assembly.
May need to have the ability to operate a stand-up lift for 9 plus hours.
