**Salary Range**

The base pay for this position is $83,000 - $166,000 per year, depending on location and experience.


**Job Description**

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Transfusion Medicine. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting root cause investigations of system-level issues, including remote customer issue analysis and troubleshooting, and in-lab issue recreation and resolution.

You will also support the risk management process and provide system-level subject matter expertise for potential design changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and develop system requirements, user needs, and system designs.
  • Lead special studies or experiments to improve system quality and define new components, products, or processes.
  • Determine root cause of system-level issues and propose possible solutions.
  • Communicate progress and conclusions to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Perform testing to assess performance, reliability, and system interactions against design specifications.
  • Provide input into the development of manufacturing processes and controls.
  • Support hardware risk management process.
  • Promote collaboration with various engineering departments and disciplines.


**Required Qualifications**

To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in an Engineering or closely related discipline with five or more years of progressive work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Computer Science, Systems Engineering) or related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant, well-rounded technical experience.
  • Proven knowledge of System Engineering principles or concepts with a focus/background in electrical engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting complex system and risk analysis.
  • Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment.
  • Demonstrated ability analyzing and utilizing data to make decisions.
  • Experience executing and creating test plans for complex systems.
  • Demonstrated success in technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thought.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of external regulations and standards affecting IVDs and Biologics.
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment.
  • Prior medical device experience: electro-mechanical, chemical, or biochemical technologies as they pertain to the design, integration, evaluation, and commercialization of diagnostic systems.
