The Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is on the lookout for a motivated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP) to take on the role of Community Treatment Team Leader.
This leadership position is responsible for guiding a team that provides essential clinical, administrative, and supervisory functions. The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model is utilized to assist adults facing severe mental health challenges or co-occurring substance use disorders, delivering interventions in various community settings.
ACT aims to provide continuous support to individuals who may encounter frequent challenges such as homelessness, hospitalizations, or legal issues. Key responsibilities include:
- Crisis intervention
- Comprehensive assessments
- Strategic treatment planning
- Care management
- Individual and group therapy
- Coordination of treatment services
The Team Leader will oversee all clinical documentation and ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations. Leadership and teamwork are essential, as you will be part of a dynamic, mobile clinical team utilizing advanced skills.
Transportation of clients in program vehicles is a requirement, along with a commitment to providing 24/7 support for those enrolled in the ACT program. The work schedule will include a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays, along with on-call duties.
Compensation: The starting salary will be based on experience, and this position is eligible for a $6,000 hiring bonus as part of the County's Hiring and Retention Bonus Program.
Qualifications: A Master's degree in a field that qualifies for professional licensure, such as:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP)
Additionally, a minimum of two years of professional experience working with individuals diagnosed with mental health and/or substance use disorders is required, including internship experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification as a Preadmission Screening Clinician or eligibility
- Certification as a Clinical Licensure Supervisor or in pursuit of it
- Previous supervisory experience
- Experience with Assertive Community Treatment
Employment is contingent upon passing a comprehensive pre-employment background check, which includes fingerprinting, credit checks, and health screenings. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are essential.
Special Requirements: Candidates must be able to wear County-issued personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
