Your expertise will be essential in monitoring patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, promptly identifying and addressing any changes in status.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the PCU or Stepdown Unit.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition.
  • Administer medications, including IV drips and infusions, as prescribed by physicians.
  • Perform complex nursing procedures.
  • Assist with the transition of patients from the ICU to the PCU/Stepdown unit.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge planning.
  • Perform regular assessments and document patient information accurately.

Requirements:
  • Current RN state license in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown Unit, or related critical care nursing field.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
