Job Description

We are seeking highly skilled Surgical Scrub Technicians to join our team at the Claremore Indian Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field of the operating room, selecting and sterilizing supplies and instruments for surgical procedures, and ensuring equipment and instruments used during operative procedures are assembled and set up correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field of the operating room

    ">

  • Select and sterilize supplies and instruments for surgical procedures

    ">

  • Remove and clean soiled linens, equipment, and supplies

    ">

  • Evaluate internal and external environments through biological testing, product evaluation, and sponge and instrument counts

    ">

Requirements

">

To qualify for this position, applicants must possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience in selecting surgical supplies and instruments for surgical cases, setting up surgical suites, and preparing and maintaining the sterile field of the operating room using aseptic technique.

Alternatively, applicants may possess one year (18 semester hours) of graduate education in nursing or a related field or a combination of both that meets the minimum qualifications for the GS-07 grade level.
