Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at New Hanover County Schools. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication and swallowing disorders
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' communication and swallowing needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies to support students' communication and swallowing needs
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and provide recommendations for continued support
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • Valid North Carolina driver's license
  • Eligibility for a North Carolina Speech Language Pathologist teaching license
