We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Technician to join our team at Christus Health.

Job Summary:

As a Mental Health Technician, you will provide clinical support to patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist Registered Nurses with patient care activities, such as vital sign monitoring and documentation.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and their families.
  • Participate in treatment planning and implementation, as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of experience in a mental health setting, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment.
Licenses, Registrations or Certifications:
  • Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or completion within 90 days of employment.
  • Current de-escalation training or completion within 90 days of employment, with annual recertification.
Work Environment:

This is a part-time position, working a variable schedule to meet the needs of the department.
