Job Title: Parent Partner Advocate

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Parent Partner Advocate to join our team at South Coast Children's Society. In this role, you will provide essential support and resources to parents/caregivers, empowering them to achieve successful home placements.

About the Position:

The Parent Partner Advocate is a critical member of our multidisciplinary team, responsible for engaging with clients served, facilitating meaningful conversations, and ensuring the parent's voice and choice are respected throughout the treatment process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess parents' needs and provide relevant interventions, resources, and support.
  • Serve as a support person and advocate for parents during Children and Family Team meetings.
  • Maintain sensitivity to family culture, values, and beliefs, operating from a family-centered, strength-based perspective.
  • Document accurately and proficiently, adhering to program and contract standards.
  • Collaborate with the client's multidisciplinary team, including county representatives, schools, and other stakeholders, in the development and execution of treatment plans.
  • Develop and utilize knowledge of community resources to serve children and their families.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of crisis management skills and ability to perform such skills as necessary.
  • Ability to remain organized and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to establish and maintain appropriate rapport with parents/caregivers.
  • Knowledge of parenting techniques, child development, and/or the Child Welfare system.
Benefits:

As a Parent Partner Advocate at South Coast Children's Society, you can expect a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits that include health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
