Job Summary:

The Scituate School District is seeking a skilled School Nurse to provide nursing services to our students and staff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and communicating with parents, faculty, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing coverage for staff nurse absences, field trips, health screenings, or professional development days.
  • Provide nursing services to the student population on a day-to-day, as-needed basis.
  • Provide triage, nursing assessment, and treatment of illness and injury.
  • Administer medications as needed.
  • Provide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illness.
  • Communicate with parents, faculty/staff, and healthcare providers as needed.
  • Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or the Director of Nursing.

Requirements:

  • Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
  • Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid.
  • Experience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
