Job Summary:
The Scituate School District is seeking a skilled School Nurse to provide nursing services to our students and staff. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, administering medications, and communicating with parents, faculty, and healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing coverage for staff nurse absences, field trips, health screenings, or professional development days.
- Provide nursing services to the student population on a day-to-day, as-needed basis.
- Provide triage, nursing assessment, and treatment of illness and injury.
- Administer medications as needed.
- Provide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illness.
- Communicate with parents, faculty/staff, and healthcare providers as needed.
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the building Principal and/or the Director of Nursing.
Requirements:
- Valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Massachusetts.
- Current certification in CPR/AED and First Aid.
- Experience in child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing.
- Current authorization to work in the United States by the first day of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
