Position Overview

CPH, a distinguished Engineering and Architectural design firm recognized among the nation's Top 500 Design Firms, is currently seeking a dedicated Licensed Civil Engineer – Land Development.

Incentive: A hiring bonus of up to $5,000 is available for the selected candidate.

Role Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess robust organizational, supervisory, and technical capabilities to oversee all aspects of project execution, including:

  • Serving as the Engineer of Record for project design, permitting, and construction oversight.
  • Creating precise presentations, designs, details, and construction documentation.
  • Leading the project design team, which includes engineers, designers, consultants, and clients.
  • Collaborating with other engineers, architects, and project managers within the firm.
  • Researching and applying relevant codes and client specifications.
  • Establishing and utilizing CPH and client standards and templates.
  • Drafting specifications, reviewing shop drawings, and providing construction administration support.
  • Traveling periodically for business development, project management, site assessments, and construction monitoring.
  • Compiling construction plans from various disciplines and submitting them to relevant authorities.
  • Mentoring and guiding project engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Conducting quality control reviews of documents prepared by others.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in Florida; additional state licensure through reciprocity is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the design and permitting of public or private projects within the United States.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A comprehensive understanding of the project lifecycle from conception to construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound independent judgment in evaluating and determining design solutions.
  • Experience in stormwater management, water distribution, and sanitary sewer collection system design.
  • Effective instructional and mentoring skills in a constructive manner.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capability to manage multiple projects while adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Flexibility in work hours to meet project deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, quality-focused, reliable, and self-driven.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
