Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Driver - Residential to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a key member of our waste management team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently collecting residential waste and recyclables, operating a commercial vehicle, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a commercial vehicle to collect residential waste and recyclables, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Load and unload waste and recyclables from the vehicle, ensuring accurate and efficient collection.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, maintaining a clean and well-maintained vehicle.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Meet or exceed performance standards, including safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; commercial driver's license (CDL) a must.
  • Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Working Conditions:
  • Frequently exposed to loud noise, humidity, and extreme weather conditions.
  • Work in outdoor environments up to 100% of the time, with occasional work in high-traffic areas.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
