Job Title: Medical Assistant PRN

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at The Center for Orthopedic Research and Education. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers, ensuring seamless care delivery.
  • Prepare patients for visits by rooming, obtaining and documenting vitals, reviewing intake paperwork, and pulling up radiology images.
  • Assist providers in preparing patient prescriptions and completing medical and patient forms.
  • Manage electronic medical records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Verify patient information, testing results, and insurance coverage to ensure appropriateness for care.
  • Scanning clinical documents into EMR and printing clinic schedules as needed.
  • Ensure patient education and promote a positive patient experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
Requirements:
  • Active Medical Assistant certification (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA, or equivalent).
  • 1-2 years of experience in orthopedics, spine surgery, or pain management (or equivalent training and certification).
  • High school diploma/GED and graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
  • Experience with office medical procedures, treatments, and EMR software.
  • BLS certification required.
