Key Responsibilities- Patrol hospital grounds and respond to emergency situations
- Investigate incidents and breaches in security
- Enforce established policies and procedures to maintain a safe and secure environment
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and response to emergencies
- Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry standards
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in law enforcement or related field preferred
- Must be licensed as a Peace Officer with the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCLEOSE)
- Must meet and maintain eligibility standards for licensing as a Texas Peace Officer
- Must have a valid Driver License and obtain a Texas Driver License within 30 days of employment
- Must pass the Police Officer Selection Test (P.O.S.T.) with a minimum overall score of 70%
- Three or more years of experience as a law enforcement officer
- Ability to pass a physical agility assessment
- Ability to pass a typing test with a minimum of 20 words per minute
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups
