Position Overview:
The Carlisle Group is conducting a search for a Director of Global Procurement. Our client is recognized as America’s Most Admired Home Remodeling Brand, with operations spanning over 40 markets across 18 states. Established in 2006, the company has grown to employ 3,000 individuals and has reached approximately $1 billion in sales. They specialize in providing a seamless and efficient home remodeling experience, focusing on residential shower, bath, window, and door replacements.
Role Summary:
The Director of Global Procurement will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for assembling a team of sourcing category managers, both direct and indirect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source a diverse range of materials, including acrylic walls, shower bases, bathroom flooring, vanities, and faucets.
- Develop and implement comprehensive commodity strategies.
- Identify and cultivate new supplier relationships while enhancing existing partnerships.
- Achieve year-over-year cost reductions on raw materials.
- Establish Value Analysis and Value Engineering initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Supplier Quality team to minimize the Cost of Quality and evaluate new suppliers.
- Maintain a deep understanding of corporate objectives to effectively communicate the corporate vision to suppliers.
- Stay informed on market trends through connections with regional suppliers and industry experts, sharing insights on new technologies and solutions.
- Formulate and enforce procurement policies and procedures.
- Manage sourcing material inflation/deflation analyses, savings tracking, and working capital costs.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to identify, qualify, and onboard new suppliers, ensuring supply reliability and profitability.
- Negotiate contracts and manage a contract management system.
- Assist in maintaining material and vendor master data, process mapping, and collaborating with global teams to ensure data integrity.
- Work with the indirect sourcing team to enhance operational efficiency.
- Oversee supplier performance through scorecards.
- Possess extensive experience in risk mitigation strategies, such as reducing single-source dependencies and Tier 2 supplier risks.
- Expected travel up to 10% annually.
- Maintain consistent, punctual attendance in accordance with applicable standards.
Leadership Responsibilities:
As a leader, you are expected to guide your teams in alignment with the corporate leadership philosophy, implementing all Managerial Leadership Practices (MLPs).
- Conduct regular meetings with team members to discuss business context, plans, and challenges, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission.
- Clearly assign tasks and projects, providing necessary resources and deadlines.

Success Metrics:
A successful Director of Global Procurement will prioritize cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives. This role will focus on reducing total costs associated with materials, goods, and services while ensuring supplier reliability and fostering strong supplier relationships. Key indicators of success will include the ability to support the development of the company's supply chain strategy, achieve year-over-year cost reductions, and establish effective procurement policies for long-term business objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; technical or business/supply chain focus preferred; MBA is advantageous.
- At least 10 years of sourcing experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Experience in sourcing from Asia is essential.
- Proven experience in sourcing/supply chain for commodities such as acrylic, vanities, and flooring is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to formulate and execute documented commodity strategies.
- Experience in managing sourcing material inflation/deflation and savings tracking.
- Proficient in contract negotiation and contract management systems.
- Experience in indirect sourcing, including packaging, corporate services, MRO, capital, and real estate.
- Familiarity with ERP systems or relevant software is necessary.
- Strong skills in Word, Excel, Access, Project, and PowerPoint.
- Must possess a valid smartphone or smart device for accessing company systems with two-factor authentication.
Work Environment:
- Standard workweek is Monday to Friday, involving both office and fieldwork.
- Ability to sit and use office equipment for extended periods is required.
- Work is conducted in a controlled indoor environment with typical office noise levels.
- Must be able to drive to various job sites as necessary.
- Maintain a valid driver's license and be insured under company policy.
