Pharmacy Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team at WASHOE BARTON MEDICAL CLINIC. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in assisting our pharmacists in various aspects of pharmacy practice, ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

• Assist pharmacists in medication preparation, dispensing, and administration.
• Perform medication reconciliations and accurately document patient information.
• Operate automated dispensing systems, including Pyxis, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Accurately order and prepare medications for hospital and clinic use.
• Deliver medications to nurses and automated dispensing systems in a timely and accurate manner.
• Check patient-specific bins daily and remove any medications that do not belong to the patient.
• Empty return bins from automated dispensing systems daily.
• Fill orders on Pyxis fill sheets accurately and promptly.
• Knowledge of pharmacy system for reordering medications and supplies.
• Prepack medications in accordance with federal and state laws.
• Accurately check infusion center schedule and order required medications.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Registered with the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or able to be registered at the time of hire.
• One year hospital experience preferred, but not required.
