Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Hybrid Energy Sales Engineer to drive sales in solar, battery energy storage, EV charging, and multiple asset distributed generation projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for positioning these technologies as solutions for our customer's energy and infrastructure needs while emphasizing their benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop relationships with customers and identify opportunities for solar, battery energy storage, and distributed generation solutions.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical and commercial support.
  • Prepare proposals, complete contracts, and close sales deals.
  • Support new business development initiatives and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with our engineering and project management team to support their function.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and market conditions.
  • Attend industry conferences and trade shows to network with potential customers and educate the market on our hybrid solutions.
  • Build and maintain relationships within Ziegler CAT.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, customers, and suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant field.
  • Two-year technical degree plus relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of technical sales experience.
  • Experience in developing conceptual designs, proposals, and cost estimates.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and nationally as required.
  • Experience specifically in solar or distributed generation is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing.
  • Working conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor, with moderate noise levels at times.
