UPMC is seeking a full-time Professional Staff Nurse to join their team at the Comprehensive Foot and Ankle office located at Mercy Hospital. This is a Monday through Friday daylight position with the hours of 7:30am to 4pm.
Responsibilities- Assist physicians in clinic, assist with surgery scheduling, form completions, triage calls, and other duties as assigned.
- Manage and provide patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with all team members.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, other healthcare providers, patients, and their families to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
- Actively participate in department or practice-specific quality improvement efforts and identify opportunities for quality improvement to colleagues and management.
- Utilize research and evidence-based practice to support improvement in clinical care and identify research issues or articles related to clinical specialty or areas of interest.
- Minimum six months experience preferred.
- BSN preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse either in the state where the facility is located or in a state covered by a licensure compact agreement with the state where the facility is located.
- CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.
