Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, providing verbal and written instructions and assisting with positioning.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure patient and team member safety.
- Perform routine maintenance on radiologic equipment and report malfunctions to the Practice Manager.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems and other software to manage patient information and perform administrative tasks.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control policies and regulations.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of radiologic standards, safety protocols, and equipment maintenance.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, team members, and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in using computer systems and electronic medical records.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or higher preferred.
- Radiologic Technologist licensure and ARRT certification required.
Work Environment:
- Environmentally controlled medical office environment.
- Frequent interaction with diverse patients and team members.
- Possible exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, and infectious specimens.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, walking, grasping, carrying, reaching, bending, and speaking.
