CT and Radiology Imaging Specialist

We are in search of a proficient and committed CT and Radiology Imaging Specialist to fulfill a per diem role. The selected individual will be tasked with executing a range of imaging procedures to generate high-quality diagnostic images for evaluation by the radiologist.

Key Responsibilities

• Instructs, prepares, and positions patients while conducting diagnostic x-ray and, if certified, CT examinations.
• Selects suitable equipment and modifies technical parameters for each required image.
• Arranges and adjusts immobilization and support devices to ensure accurate positioning and minimize patient movement, while adhering to radiation safety protocols.
• Prepares and administers contrast agents for specific examinations.
• Completes all necessary documentation, including imaging requests, patient identification, billing details, medical history, consent forms, and appropriate logbooks, in either electronic or paper formats.
• Electronically manages preliminary and final reports from the radiologist, ensuring copies are distributed to the relevant departments.
• Prepares and transmits x-ray/US/CT images to the radiologist.
• Maintains cleanliness and functionality of CT facilities and equipment.

Qualifications and Skills

• Understanding of the theories, principles, and techniques related to diagnostic imaging and associated procedures.
• Familiarity with the principles of physics, electricity, and related physical sciences as they pertain to radiology.
• Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology in relation to radiological practices.
• Awareness of the risks associated with radiological materials and safety measures.
• Ability to position patients for a diverse range of diagnostic examinations.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Current CA ARRT and CRT licensure.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technician.
