Job Description

**Intern Job Description**

We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Construction Interns. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction field and work closely with our experienced project managers and engineers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assist project teams in managing construction projects, including all phases from bidding to final completion.
  • Perform quantity take-off, layout, preconstruction/as-built surveys, and shop drawing review/approval.
  • Review and submit submittals, respond to subcontractor RFIs, and interface with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings and assist with coordinating work between the owner, architect, and subcontractors.
  • Assist with reviewing construction documents and specifications, and maintaining field records.
  • Perform estimates, budgets, value engineering, and constructability surveys, and assist with writing contracts and purchase orders.
  • Prepare billings to the owner and submit change orders, and assist with approval of invoices.
  • Order and expedite materials, schedule and update projects, and assist with quality control and safety.
  • Settle contracts, process permits, and perform costing, scheduling, estimating, and project management.
  • Punchlist and project closeout, and cooperate with field project management.

**Requirements:**

  • Familiarity with Primavera, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Strong technical capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
