Year Up United is a transformative one-year program that equips young adults with in-demand technical and professional skills, empowering them to launch successful careers. Through a combination of classroom instruction, internships, and personalized coaching, participants gain a competitive edge in the job market.
Key Program Highlights- Technical training in areas such as Banking & Customer Success, Data Analytics, Helpdesk/Desktop Support, and Project Management Support
- Professional development in business and communication skills, interviewing and networking, resume building, and ongoing support
- Internship opportunities with leading organizations in the Chicago area, including Exelon Corporation, Bank of America, United Airlines, and Northwestern University
- Eligibility for college credit in certain coursework
- An educational stipend of $525 per week during the internship phase
To be eligible for the program, applicants must:
- Be between 18-29 years old
- Be a high school graduate or GED recipient
- Be eligible to work in the U.S.
- Be available Monday-Friday throughout the program duration
- Be highly motivated to learn and develop technical and professional skills
- Not have obtained a Bachelor's degree
Year Up United graduates have achieved impressive outcomes, with 80% employed and/or enrolled in postsecondary education within 4 months of graduation. Employed graduates have earned an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.
