Job Description

Cleanliness Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Cleanliness Expert to join our team. As a key member of our housekeeping staff, you will be responsible for ensuring that guest rooms meet our high standards of cleanliness and comfort. This involves cleaning assigned rooms according to established procedures, reporting any maintenance deficiencies, handling guest requests or complaints, and maintaining confidentiality and security of all guest rooms.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Follow all company and department policies and procedures, including Maverick Cleaning and Sanitation Guidelines.
  • Clean assigned guest rooms by priority, adhering to established standards and procedures.
  • Replace all linen and replenish bathroom supplies and room amenities.
  • Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, following OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
  • Perform rotation cleaning duties as required.
  • Transport cart with cleaning supplies, amenities, and linens to assigned guest rooms and position securely.
  • Communicate with guests in a professional and friendly manner, handling guest complaints and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests; turn over lost and found items to supervisor.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel fire and emergency procedures.
  • Inspect rooms for safety hazards and report any damages or maintenance problems to Housekeeping Supervisor.
  • Adhere to Lost and Found policy, including key control.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have previous housekeeping experience and possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • High school education or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry in a similar position is desired.
  • Exceptional guest service skills are essential.
  • You must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling is necessary.
  • You should be detail-oriented and self-motivated, able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Punctuality and regular attendance are crucial.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively at all times with employees and guests.
  • You should be able to follow all Maverick Gaming standards and policies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English is required.
  • You must be able to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 100 lbs.
