Master Locksmith

Join the Pasadena Independent School District team as a Master Locksmith, responsible for maintaining a key issuance and locking system that ensures accountability and control for effective security and facility operations.

• Monitor and maintain the District's Key Control Policy, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
• Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of all PISD locking systems, including keyless systems and electronic access control.
• Cut new, replacement, or duplicate keys; re-key locks as necessary to maintain security and access control.
• Program and reprogram coded keyless systems, both mechanical and electronic.
• Monitor work performed by outside contractors, generate key schedules, and review blueprints and key charts.
• Maintain a clean and safe lock shop environment at all times.
• Perform necessary paperwork to process work orders and maintain accurate records.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and meet/maintain insurance requirements of Pasadena ISD.
• Pass drug test and be part of a random drug testing program.
• Pass criminal history check.
• At least ten years of experience as a locksmith is preferred.

The Master Locksmith will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication and problem-solving skills. The position involves strenuous walking, standing, climbing, and heavy lifting, as well as working from ladders and elevated platforms. Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals, and materials is also expected.
