Position Overview

The Senior Manager will oversee project assignments from initial kick-off to the preparation of deliverables, including presentations and reports, with a focus on scheduling challenges, project controls, cost management, and claims. The ideal candidate will aim to achieve a high level of expertise and industry recognition, aspiring to provide expert testimony within a 3 to 5-year timeframe. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing, updating, maintaining, and analyzing project schedules
  • Developing project timelines and implementing critical path method (CPM) delay analyses
  • Interfacing with clients and project stakeholders
  • Providing project management teams with pertinent information regarding engagement status
  • Assisting in the evaluation and preparation of claims related to project management, engineering/construction, cost quantification, progress evaluation, and schedule-related issues
  • Conducting thorough research and evaluation of project documentation and data
  • Analyzing critical project data, including schedules, resource utilization, and costs
  • Assisting in claims analysis and report preparation
  • Creating visual aids and graphics for expert reports and presentations
  • Managing multiple projects with competing priorities effectively
Qualifications

Qualified candidates should possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in the construction industry and demonstrate strong written communication skills. A degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Engineering, or a related field is required. Candidates should have a solid understanding of construction fundamentals, including construction documents and management procedures such as project controls, scheduling, estimation, and contracts. Additionally, candidates must have proficiency in the following:

  • Exceptional technical writing skills
  • Expertise in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, large data management, and graphic communication tools
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products, particularly Word and Excel
  • Testimony experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Eligibility to work in the US or a valid work permit if applicable
  • Preferred certifications include Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Certified Cost Professional (CCP).
