Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Roadway Engineer II to join our team for our expanding portfolio of major area projects.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented engineer to develop and/or supervise the creation of contract documents for transportation projects, including defining the problem, establishing scope, preparing the budget and schedule, planning work, providing technical direction, and reporting the work status.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyzing design issues and providing detail design that satisfies client's needs
  • Delivering products consisting of detailed calculations, drawings, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, and detailed analyses
  • Mentoring young staff members and providing performance input
  • Developing skill sets to lead project development in the future
  • Providing technical guidance to young engineers and CAD Designer/Drafters on project
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field)
  • 5+ years of related work experience
  • Proficiency in utilizing CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with road engineering
  • Experience in developing 3D finite elements models
  • DOT Road and wall design experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EIT or PE
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Ability to lead and motivate team members in completion of project tasks
  • Provide training and lead technical discussions related to roadway engineering
  • DOT pre-certified in Road and culvert design
