Patent Specialist

About the Role:

Protingent is seeking a highly skilled Patent Agent to join our team. As a Patent Agent, you will be responsible for managing valuable patent assets and assessing patent risk for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with clients on innovative technologies to procure patent protection and build IP portfolios.
• Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications on behalf of clients.
• Provide support for due-diligence, landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate analysis, and validity assessment.
• Draft responses to patent application rejections.
• Focus on patent filings and support patent litigation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-4 years' experience in patent prosecution.
• Ability to interact professionally with clients and work as part of a global team.
• Proven ability to concentrate on project details and establish internal practices for coordinating patent-related information.
• Demonstrated advanced writing skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
• Proven project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing work priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry experience in software development, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and/or semiconductor manufacturing and packaging.
• Registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
